I got these because I have a double pull-chain lamp, and the shade was too close to the bulbs to make changing the bulbs easy - the shade was nearly touching the bulbs. However these are bog standard, so I will also use these a couple of different ways - I have a lamp that needs to be rewired, and will use one to raise the bulb up / to make a taller lamp below the bulb socket.So except for raising the shade up on a stained glass, pull chain lamp, every other use I can think of is going to require a minor amount of electrical wiring familiarity. So be careful!These are well made and screw together easily. Recommend.

Perfectly machined. The dimensions match advertised specifications accurately. Works/functions exactly as expected. Threads smooth and unobstructed by imperfections. Robust material. No doubt will last a long time. Good price wouldn't mind a thicker material, but wasn't expecting any different
