I love this pendant light! It has metal rods (not string) which I love, and comes with a fabric liner and rattan shade that gives the light a nice glow without pouring through the holes in the rattan. You can choose to use the fabric liner only, the rattan only, or the fabric + rattan shades. I am changing up the fixtures in my kitchen/eating area to more farmhouse and I love the way these look so much that I ordered another one and a matching set for over our table!

I have rattan ceiling lamps throughout my hallways, dining area and now kitchen. I screwed enough of the down rods together to have the bottom of the shade at a height of 34.5" above my countertop. Wiring solo was easy since the fixture is not very heavy. It comes with a shade that made all the difference in the world. The shade cuts down on harsh sideways light that can cause huge glare into a TV. The shade will also hide the looks of lamps like I used, which are just plain old white 60w LED equivalent bulbs. I have received many compliments on the look of these pendant lights. Great lights!
