after 18 months in use, these stainless steel turnbuckles rusted and failed- the hook snapped off. A second one is starting to rust.

I like the dimensions of these - not much length wasted on the hook and eye parts relative to the nice amount of adjustment. I bought ten and one end of one would not turn. I was able to use two pairs of pliers to force it and after going back and forth, it loosened up and can be used.

used these to make a couple turnbuckle shelves in a bathroom. spray painted them black and combined with U bolts thru shelf, eyebolts and washer into wall (with wall anchor). turned out great!

I used these to hang steel cable, which in turn will hang string lights - about 250 feet of them (photos attached).I wanted to be able to adjust the tension of the steel cables over time.These turnbuckles installed as expected.304 Stainless - they should weather well.I would use them again given a similar need.

The ends are nice and solid, but the middle part seems flexy, even when being turned by hand. That said, they appear to be of high-quality stainless, and plenty strong.
