Replaced old rusted Barksdale EE05-Q61 pressure sensor with this new plastic one. Heater now works again. It is a direct replacement but this sensor is plastic and has pipe threads so it shouldn't be over tightened. Just snug enough to not leak. I think some people aren't aware of how pipe threads seal and over tighten and break this sensor. I actually like the plastic better because it won't rust but we'll see how long it lasts.

The stem is too large. It will not fit the MasterTemp 400 pool heater.

Delivery was sooner than expected, and it works perfectly. The new switch is plastic which is no problem of you don't overtighten it. The original switch was metal which fell apart as soon as I touched it.

This was a simple replacement. These are the steps I followed, yours may be different and consult a professional if you are not sure what to do. 1. remove heater panel. 2 disconnect 2 wires in old pressure switch. 3. Drain filter so water level is below pressure switch level. 4. use a pliers or adj. wrench to remove old pressure switch. 5. Teflon tape new unit threads and screw in until tight (do not over-tighten). 6. Turn on the pump and check for leaks. 7. Turn on heater and confirm heater works. 8. Check for leaks and put the heater access panel back on.This is advertised as plastic and it is. My old unit (17 years old) had a brass nipple and metal body. The medal body rusted and was leaking water. I've only used the new unit for a few days but everything is working normal and I have no leaks.Good luck

It worked and got my pool heater running again. I received 7 switches that were rolling around loose (- 1 star) in the shipping box, instead of the single switch that I thought that I ordered. The specs indicate the part weight as 3.8 oz, but the shipping weight is 1.5 lbs. I don't know if the order is typically filled with 7 switches or if there was an error in filling my order.
