I have not yet used this Spring Tool Retainer. But, retainer fit verry tight on my 20+ year old B&D Air Hammer. So tight, that when I put 2 pr of Vice Grips on it, to expand it, & 'screw' it onto my Air Hammer the short end piece broke off very easily! So, I then used a pipe wrench to easily 'screw' retainer the rest of the way onto my Air Hammer. Because what is supposed to be Spring Steel broke off so easily - I'm concerned about the quality of of this retainer spring., and whether or not it will withstand & hold tools while hammering.Fortunately, the end that broke off, will have no effect on this retainer being able to properly retain a chisel, etc.
