Very handy tool to have. Great for retrieving dropped bolts, nuts, sockets etc when working on a vehicle. Gets in small spaces, and you can bend it to get around things. Stays in the shape you bend it into.

Will never coil back like pictured once you've unraveled it. Never truly straight either due to the bends. Could use a stronger magnet.

Just arrived. Uncoiling wire and it snapped right off, one cm from handle. The wire has the rigidity of a coat hanger. I might have known this was going to happen when the plating started flaking off when I started uncoiling the magnet. I have used one of these before and it was great. The wire on the one I had borrowed was softer. Don't buy, you're just wasting your money. I had to select one star in order to submit my review. It deserves none. This one is destined for the recycling bin.

I've had similar tools that cost more but for some reason I've lost them. It's nice to have a replacement that works as well as the one I had before. It works well.

Fell apart the 2nd time I used it...the magnet fell out the end and I had to dig down in my engine bay to get it off the engine block...but what can you expect for the price I guess..

It’s flexible and will keep it’s bent shape pretty well and will probably work for loose objects. I dropped a bolt in a timing cover of a forklift and I was blindly fishing for it with this magnet and it held up for a few minutes. But after a few minutes I noticed the magnet came off in the timing cover somewhere and now I have to find it and the bolt. For small jobs this will be a good cheap tool, but for something critical I wouldn’t take a chance.

The magnet is really strong and I like the semi-rigid structure of the tool. It makes getting it into tight spaces much easier.
