I purchased this item to install in my old pick-up. I am not a mechanic but I watched several videos and it seemed pretty straight forward. I was very happy to see how easy it was to install and better yet, how good it works. The electronic ignitor improves tremendously how the truck starts and runs. I installed it about a year ago and so far is working like a champ. If you have a distributor with points, you should definitively consider installing this product. Just do your research and make sure you get the product made for your distributor.

I replaced my igniter II which died a premature death. This worked very well in my 1976 Mallory distributor.
