Pete Rickard's Floating Puppy Training Dummy worked great! For an hour.. After that it did not float and was lost in the lake. This goes against most of the reviews, so maybe I received a lemon but it is nonetheless disappointing as it interrupted my training session. To be clear: I used the training dummy by throwing it into the water to which my dog would retrieve it and drop it off to me. That is it. Pretty mild usage. I would stay away for this item unless you are training a 20 pound dog or lighter.

Great quality product I now have 3. Two fit in my back hiking jeans pocket snuggly and the dog loves them. Easy for a young pup to hold. Started my yellow lab on it around 10 weeks and he is now almost 5 months and I see no reason to try a different one. Floats great and doesn’t take forever to dry out. Very durable I have been using one almost every day for over 2 months now and the only thing that has changed is it’s now a darker color and I broke the rope.

This Canvas Bumper is very good and made with a good quality canvas. The only problems is that it gets really dirty, really easily. I recommend this product for anyone who is not concerned about their training dummies getting dirty.
