We chose the hot pink petite collar for our 6 lbs chihuahua. She was great with the collar at first. She was unable to pull out of it unlike the three other harnesses and collars we tried. She began to mind better after a couple short walks. However, after about 2 weeks, she started getting frustrated and chewing on the collar. It took 3 days and now the collar is essentially bitten in half. I think that is much more the fault of my dog, but I do think they should be a little more sturdy.

No Chain Martindale Style collar that tightens very gently to let you dog know " no tugging" Zoey loves it and it loosens as fast as it tightens.

I received the martingale collar for training purpose with a thought snap buckle would make life easier, my puppy chews and she bites and chews the snap buckle! She only used once and played with it once yep she chew the buckle and no I wouldn’t take a risk to put it on her anymore.Nice color, the size is right! Maybe better for older dog that does not chew anymore.

Before buying, I read some reviews that said the collar was too big but I thought I’d try it out. So I ordered the petite (7-9in) for my cat so I could take her out of the carrier and put her on a leash with this collar in the car so she wouldn’t get up by the driver. She has a 7 in neck. The issue is that when the collar is on her with no tension, it’s a 9 in collar which is too loose and unsafe. If she pulls away, it tightens to 7 in but I need something that’s 7 in that gets smaller if she pulls. Therefore, it’s too big.

I foster pups and having a well made, durable project is vital. I have had a lot of dog get out of collars, but this martingale is perfect and thin. I get a lot of puppies so the thinner the better. Great product for the money!

I’d never used or heard of martingale collars before adopting my puppy recently. It was a requirement that I buy one before picking my puppy up and I’m so glad it is. These collars are the BEST!! They add a layer of protection by tightening when pulled so that your pup can’t slip out of them. They work and I feel so much safer walking by a busy road with my puppy now. The size was perfect for her and the colors come in a great range.

I was having a really hard time finding a martingale collar small enough for my dog that didn't have to go over her face to get it on. She hates that! After trying the few I could find at local stores, I ordered this one. It's pretty small but fits my dog perfectly!!! I was a little concerned with it not being strong enough, but after coming across some squirrels in the last few weeks, it hasn't popped off once! So far so good with this collar and the price is unbeatable.
