I purchased this to use on a continuous line furler. It is a 25 ft loop of 5/16 line. Pull on one side of the loop and furler the sail, pull on the other side and unfurl the sail. To route the line back to the sailors, you run it through blocks(pulleys) but with a loop there is no "end" to route through a block. . That is why I bought this . You open it up , and put both sides of the loop in it then attach the block to the boat so the loop does not hang up, get tangled and it is where you want it

The pulley came in quick, brand new in box, and works great! Love it, and would recomend to all my friends. If you need a good pulley this is a great one, and I bought two, couldn't be happier!
