The 4-1/2-by-2-1/2-inch dip bowl features a delicate spray of red-and-green holly on two sides, along with a smaller spray on the inside. A green stripe accents the rim. The sculpted resin handle on the spreader continues the motif. While the bowl is safe for dishwasher, freezer, oven, and microwave, the spreader should be washed by hand. I am working on getting all the pieces to the winterberry collection and still have a long way to go but every year I add another piece to it. Love this collection as I don’t believe hollies and berries will ever go out of style.

Very pretty, and the perfect size for a recipe of party dip. Goes nicely with the Bless This House oval plate, which I also purchased. The spreader is actually sturdy and functional.

I have been collecting Winterberry pieces for the last several years, and I love them all. The pattern is so pretty and I use many pieces during the year, not just for the Christmas holidays. I'm originally from Germany so this pattern is extra-special to me, even though it's not manufactured in Germany any longer. This item will definitely hold a nice size cheese ball or it can be used to hold onion dip for one or two people. I ordered this item because I needed a few dollars more in my cart to qualify for free shipping, and I knew I could use this as soon as I searched all Winterberry items on Amazon that were not expensive. The Winterberry pattern is elegant and beautiful and this dip set is a welcome addition to my other Winterberry items.

It's a beautiful little bowl and an adorable little spreader, especially for the price, but mine came with a random green mark on the inside of the rim. It's not part of the pattern, maybe a stray flick of paint or something. It's not anything that ruins the piece, but it kind of disappointed me. I didn't have time to return it and get a new one before Christmas day, so I decided to keep it anyway.I'm still rating it four stars because it's microwave safe, large enough for any kind of dip, and the spreader is delicate and cute. I got compliments from the family and plan to buy the rest of the pieces in this line.
