it worked fine for the 1st couple of weeks then it just stopped being accurate. or maybe it never was actually as i write this review. i never tested it out of the box. any ways my plants are locked out of nutrients due to improper ph levels.

I use this meter to test the ph for my flower garden. I have only been using it for about two weeks. So far I am completely satisfied with the results. Very accurate meter.

Gets the job done for a good price. Now I can make sure the ph of my water is at a good level for my fish tank and also when watering my plants. For plants a cheap method of ph up or ph down is baking soda for rising ph and white vinegar is good to lower ph.

This may be the greatest ph meter in the world but I’ll never know. We got it to test the water in our fish pond once or twice a month. First you need to calibrate it. They include two sets of calibrating powder that you use with distilled water. How many people have distilled water in the house - not us so it would require a trip to the store. The instructions say to calibrate it monthly. With only two sets of calibrating powders that means it will be useful for two months out of the box without getting more calibration sets. Another hassle. Also it needs to be stored carefully by keeping a pad in the cap moist with a couple of drops of a solution that is included. When that runs out, you need to get more. Too much of a hassle for us. We’ll just continue to use test strips which are simple to use and cheap. Maybe this is good for situations where multiple tests are done frequently and the hassle is worth it.

I have owned several meters , from expensive to cheap. They all fail at some point. Proper care does extend the life. That said this meter with the newer blue glass bulb is fantastic. Very fast read out and so far spot on accuracy. I suggest calibrating once a month and keep it clean and use the storage solution that comes with it. Bought a second one and it’s spot on also. I always keep some general hydro testing solution to compare. Good practice. You won’t be disappointed
