I don't write reviews often but felt like I should in this case to help others avoid buying these.Ordered two and one arrived broken. I figure is was shipping damage a poor product so I notified amazon and got a replacement. Finally installed them today and I snapped one of the mounting tabs of of the replacement item while screwing it to a surface. OK, no big deal, I'll mount it with velcro. Before I could get the coax screwed on not only did the inside mechanism come loose, but then one of the coax connectors broke off. The metal housing is the cheapest of what my dad used to call "pot metal".The mechanism coming loose is what was wrong with the original unit I replaced. May have been a product problem after all. Ended up removing both the broken one and the one that still worked. Would rather plug/unplug with a push on adapter than depend on these working.

works well to allow viewing your choice of input. I use it to separate TV signals vs VCR input. Just slide the switch and that's it.

Wanted to switch between external antenna (providing digital channels) and a cable tv connection. Wouldn’t work but could be a limitation of my TV which apparently can provide one or the other.

This is being used to switch between two antennas so how it may work switching two electronic devices will depend on your environment. However, as a switch, this works extremely well; easy to set up and use. It's a great value.

This splitter works great, however, if your tv only has 1 option for antenna/cable as my Sony does each time you switch the splitter between antenna/cable you’ll have to scan the channels again. Some tv models might have two different settings one for cable and one for antenna, if your tv has that I assume you’d be fine and won’t have to scan channels each time you switch between cable and antenna.
