Dangerous don’t buy this!!Purchase this to replace on a 2003 Honda element because it was leaking from the steering unit. Both the tie rod ends were in good shape so I did not change those.I got the old unit out and put the new unit in and the bolts that secure The tie rod mounting to the steering unit had stripped out like the metal is no good?? Or possibly was cross threaded & stripped during assembly. I’m not sure. They do come assembled on the unit from the factory, and when you install the tire rods, they actually cannot come out of that bracket that the tie rod screws into from the left and the right.my girlfriend told me her car wouldn’t steer and I came over to look at it and you’ll see what I saw in the pictures little to no damage at all to the bolts! threads look fine. I was able to get my camera down to take pictures of the steering unit where they screw into the steering unit and they’re all stripped out like they were either cross threaded from the factory or the metal is just trash. I’m not sure which.I’m actually considering contacting an attorney over this. this is very dangerous. I’ve changed many steering units and I have never seen this before. I’ve also purchased many parts on Amazon and I have never experienced anything like this!disappointing because this is a pretty lengthy job and now I have to do it again, but I’ll be buying one from O’Reillys or Napa or somewhere like that
