I am a old school Marine and we used to starch our covers (caps). I tried many things to make my cover look squared away and nothing worked. Then I tried this great little gadget and wala great looking cover!I wash the cover, insert the mold, use a credit card cut to fit the front and support the insert in the front and then spray starch the cover. When it dries you have a cover that could stand a general inspection!

I often like to wear my old Marine Corps covers and have not been able to find any way to block it so as to look like I use to wear it. This product allows me to block my cover with the eight point style that makes it look its best. I am very happy with this block and recommend it to all who like their covers to be squared away properly. On the down side, notice in the pictures the corners are tight but the rest of the cover still needs the old round metal/plastic stretcher and this velcro type blocker is a bit hard to pull apart once the velcro sticks (yet doable). I get the impression some people think you leave this in all the time, I could never wear my cover like that and I do not believe this was made to work that way. For the price it is a very good inexpensive block, true, I still like the old metal ones though (just can't afford it.)

I have a small head and cutting those plastic things that the NEX gives you is stupid hard to get right as the smallest outline printed on it is still too big. This Cover Shaper eased all of that 3x faster than it takes me to get a perfect cut on the plastic ones.You basically just snap the pieces together and VOILA! Perfectly placed. I'm pretty sure when I go back into work and other sailors see how clean my cover looks with this shaper, they'll buy one too. Not to mention, it shipped super quick. This shaper is amazing and extremely happy with it.Photos attached has a comparison of the plastic thing the NEX sells you in the TYPE I Blue Digi Cami VS This product's 8 point snap-in in the TYPE III Green Digi Cami. Notice how the blueberry is so saggy still versus how nice and perky the avocado looks.So, buy one of these 8 point shapers as it boosts your overall appearance exponentially.
