Short version: a great item that requires 2 6 inch arms and 2 super clamps to use safely as intended.Long version: I first gave this item 5 stars despite a major flaw because I found an alternate use for it. I however found a perfect solution to use as intended that I will explain.This arm is super strong but very heavy. It feels like a crowbar, and you could probably use it as one if it had the claw on the end 😄The flaw of this arm is that the weight and length of the arm puts high strain on the clamp and c stand even without anything attached to it. You can literally see the clamp get slightly deformed if you push down on the arm slightly, which indicates that loading the arm up with weight will likely damage the clamp and possibly break it.Personally I wouldnt even feel safe putting anything more than 1 lb on it if used the intended way.The first use I found for it was as a safety tether. I attached this arm to a c-stand and connected it to a 6 inch arm I had attached to a camera tripod. Its a great use that Id recommend because it secures the tripod, but its not the indended use. I have since found an actual solution to the problem.The solution:If you combine this arm with 2 6 inch arms and 2 super clamps (see photos), you can significantly increase the durability of the arm and safely load it with more weight. Maybe call this combination a super arm? 😄When you reinforce the arm this way it eliminates virtually all the strain on the clamps. There is no deformation on the clamps, and only the c stand tilts slightly from the weight being on one side. It might even be able to hold more than the recommended 7 lbs load, but I personally wouldnt chance it.I do have an improvement idea for the arm itself. If the 20 inch arm has a indentation cut into it at 6 inches, it would allow for the screw on the 6 inch arm to securely tighten on it. Not a big deal but it would be an improvement.In conclusion, this item is super useful so just buy it. I ordered 2 and might order more if it comes back in stock. Please dont raise the price again 🙏Side note: Hey guys I improved your product, maybe give me the free item next time 😭

This is just a solid arm that can be inserted into a magic clamp. I am using it to get my flat panel led light closer to my face. Works great for that and can take the weight of my large LED light without issue. No quality issues. Good value.

Great addition to my light stand and super expensive super clamp. The hexagonal (?) shape of the bar fits into the clamp so that there is no twisting or spinning of the rod. Nice and strong, allowing me to attach a kicker light down low without necessitating another stand, which I love.
