There is much to like about this photo album. It is pretty sturdily made, with a ring binder that allows you to remove and move around the contents at will. There is a collection of plastic photo sleeves toward the front, with brown paper sheets toward the back. If you choose, you can move some of the paper around to write captions for the photos are decorate as you see fit. The brown paper is just normal paper, not card stock, so you can't go too wild with it. I also like the fact that the cover has a tab for you to hold the album closed. Nice touch. The album cover material is advertised as leather, and it may be, but it honestly doesn't feel like leather to me; it is more "pleathery" to my touch. But overall, this is a solid and sturdy photo album and will serve my purposes well.

I originally ordered this to help my sister with a little photo portfolio project, only to find out she’d ordered an identical book from someone else by pure coincidence! Great minds! So… needing to come up with a new purpose I ended up deciding to use this as a little fabric swatch book for my ever growing fabric stash, with the kraft paper pages being great for notes and application comments / stitch settings etc. I don’t have the space to keep my fabrics out and easily accessible, so it’s wonderful to have a separate reference binder I can easily check when planning a project. I could also see using this as a compact family recipe binder. It’s very versatile!

I requested the Flying Beauty photo album that has fifty album pages for 200 photos and thirty pages for writing. I believe that the rings are too small to hold 200 photos AND thirty pages of writing. Thankfully, I don't need the writing pages. I quickly removed them. Afterwards, I filled the photo pages with photographs that I made of animated figurines for a project. I haven't filled every page with photographs but I will be lucky if the album will hold 200 pages. The metal rings are small.The Flying Beauty photo album with the heart would make a great gift for a professional or amateur photographer. It would also make a great wedding gift. The leather appears to be genuine. The album cover is fairly thick. I looked at the cross-section and didn't notice any cardboard inserts. The photo album pages appear to be standard. When I initially requested this album for review purposes, it was selling on Amazon for $22.99, which is expensive for this album. At the time of my review, it had dropped to $18.99, which is a more reasonable price.
