Let me start off by saying that I am sure the Phottix Speed Ring for Balcar is a fine product. As with most SRs, it's two pieces of metal. Short of a manufacturing failure, there is really no way the listed product (or the one I received) can be rated bad. You can use SRs as blunt versions of Xena's chakram and they will survive with some minor scratches and dings. How do I know it's a generic SR instead of the Phottix SR with an incorrect mount - even though it came in a Phottix bag with a tag for the listed item? Well, turns out SR mounts come in two sizes. 144mm and 152mm. The one I received is 144mm, and the Phottix one is, drum roll please, 152mm. That, and the one I received offer fewer rod mounting holes than advertised. I can't even point to a specific reseller given this is "fulfilled by Amazon" so who knows where this is from or where the mistake occurred. That is why I am taking off a star due to Amazon's "mixed inventory" program. I can always use a spare SR or use it in my Xena cosplay. At least I didn't pay too much for this (it's in line with generic SRs.) Although a Balcar mount/adapter by itself can cost almost as much as what I paid for this.

I think is a bit too heavy, and the actual Reflector Coating is poor quality. I had to buy another one that rendered better reflective properties and it costed me less then this one and it was a little lighter. This is subjective. You may not want to be as careful and thorough all the time with speed rings, but when you see other brands making better decision I must high light this speed ring felt off. Other than that is robust enough, I don't think it will break unless you don't take care of it and it comes In a nice bag. Keep in mind this is totally round all the way . It doesn't have flat segments like some.

I use with a Bowens flash mount and change out the adapter ring for Paul Buff lights too. It works great. Has threaded holes for the Spartan beauty dish reflector. Would buy again if I get other Phottix modifiers.

anello adattatore per softbox phottix onesto e senza fronzoli, in vero alluminio con attacco preciso e solido, ha pure una ghiera per ruotare il softbox quando e montato e poi fermarlo con apposita vite, molto consigliato

Eigentlich braucht man dieses Teil ja nicht empfehlen, denn wenn man den braucht gibts ja eh keine Alternative.Trotzdem für Leute, die das Teil nicht kennen:Gussteil dass recht stabil ausfällt, die Streben einer Softbox passen gut rein und haben genug Halt (kein Ausbrechen).Kaufempfehlung
