It is grad season and the kids have sports going on. This blanket has been tossed into one of our other cars so if we were to switch off on which car is taken to whatever event, there would be a blanket to sit on if needed since we have little kids. It's been awesome to have and I never have to wonder about this extra thing, it just rides in the car now and is easy to fold up once you get the hang of it.

This is absolutely a must have summer item to keep in the car and it’s not only big but thankfully was comfortable too. We have utilized it outside in the backyard for a family movie, to on the grass at games and then even picnics clean up is a breeze and the added velour makes storing it neat easy too

This foldable picnic blanket is quite nice. Right off the bat I'll say that 80x80-inches is a large blanket but I don't think eight people can comfortably sit on it (as stated in product description). It's best-suited for one to four people I think. Here's what I like:**Large Blanket in Small Package with Handles: It folds so small this blanket is easy to take along to an outdoor concert, picnic, playgroup, etc. So many uses. Easy to fold back to original shape once you practice a couple times.**Washable -- The waterproof bottom isn't likely to attract too much dirt. Most should come off with a good shake. Many spills wipe off the cover side easily. However, it is nice that this blanket is washable when you need it.**Design and Finish--What's not to like about the modern print and the edge that is nicely finished all the way around with piping.What could be betterLoops and Stakes: If this had loops in each corner the blanket would stay anchored in place even better. As it is, you can always weight the blanket with stuff and people once you spread it out.I haven't used this blanket long enough to comment on durability. Initially I am very impressed with it's utility and looks. If you are looking for a waterproof picnic blanket, I recommend you consider this one. It's nice.

I enjoy this blanket, it's big enough for a couple people to lay one, or for a little picnic. The blanket itself is made of a waterproof material, so no worries about damp grass. It folds into a easy to carry package when you are done with it, though I would recommend hanging it to dry if used somewhere damp, that way it doesn't get that mildew tent smell. I use this a lot in my yard when I want to just enjoy the day, sometimes I prefer to sit on the ground and read or enjoy the breeze and sun. Where I live, we have issues with ants and chiggers, so it's not recommended to lay directly on the grass. This at least offers me a buffer between the nasties and my short quiet enjoyments.

The reasoning for my low score is that the blanket smelled moldy. It smelled like it got wet and was sitting in a dark room for a few weeks before it came to me. I'm a bit disappointed in that but I threw it in the washing machine and the smell is still there but not as bad anymore. Besides the bad smell, it's a decent blanket. It feels thick and like it can give sufficient padding for the ground. It is a bit hard to fold though because of the thickness but you can make it work. Overall, it's a decent blanket but be wary that you will get a smelly and moldy blanket. At least it is easy to clean though.

This is a nice quality blanket. It is made of a water-resistant backing material. Spilling water on it, it indeed did not let it pass. However, it reminds me a bit of an umbrella material. I'm not sure it'll keep water out with a prolonged exposure (wet grass, for example), especially if someone is sitting/laying on top of it. This blanket is slightly cushioned. It is not the fuzzy type of cushioning, but rather the cushioning is stitched inside like a quilt. I find this extremely nice as it provides some amount of insulation in case the ground is cold. It is also easy to spot clean in case of any food spills. Overall this is a solid buy considering the price.-1 star because the dimensions were actually 78x78. Not a huge deal IMO, but I do feel that the product page should be corrected for cases where it might matter.
