I purchased this as a gift for my wife who enjoys puzzles and crafts similar to this. However, the product was much smaller than I anticipated it would be. The pieces are very intricate and she had difficulty taking the pieces off of the packaging. She even went and purchased a small jewelry tool set to help with working with them. But after 3-4 days of working on it in her free time she gave up as the pieces kept breaking as she tried to get them out of the packaging.

I love myself a challenge but due to the size and how it is metal I have messed up by twisting too hard or the pieces are harder to add to the other piece. This would cause the tops to be lopsided and it is mainly the top cones or the tower. I do love the boxing and the colors of the metal.

Not for a beginner! Start with some simple kits like Metal Earth music instruments and work your way up. I had to buy some tools to do Notre Dame. Some of the parts are tiny. I use a lighted magnifying glass and it is a MUST for me. Knipex needle nose pliers 35 21 115 works well for me. This model is stunning! It is small and compact. You must have the patience of a saint, but it is worth it. Precision is a MUST if you want the finished model to look great.Just finished La Sagrada Familia and it was difficult. There are 18 steeples that are mostly 3 parts and you need some tapered tools to roll them to the correct shape. Lots of bending for the sanctuary around the steeple of Mary.

If you’ve built any of these metal models you know the deal. This ones not for beginners. There are some challenging operations with some extremely delicate pieces so if you’re buying this for a kid they should be older, patient and already have experience with these kits. All said the resulting model is stunning; such minute details. Unlike the “usual” shiny steel models these come with printed colors and graphics on them. Really neat.

This was a lot of fun to put together. The scale also makes it very challenging. Tiny pieces with lots of bends. I strongly recommend using a magnifier. Beautiful model when completed.

This is only my 2nd model that I have assembled. The first one was the their Sherman (?) tank - very interesting putting it together. You definitely need steady hands and a good magnifying pair of glasses.Notre Dame is my 2nd model. A lot more intricate. Step 1 took me over 2 hours but I think progress will be quicker one the fiddly little bits are done. But hey, what's the rush. I want a model that will be the best it can be; not that I am a perfectionist.Time will tell, but I don't think you can beat piececool models for the price and the enjoyment of building. Done right, it will be a model you will proudly display.This won't be my last. Highly recommended.

The manufacturer pictures really don’t show the intricate detail of this piece. Bought as a Christmas gift for an avid metal puzzler who usually burns through kits and they’re still working on this one. Will be buying again from this company.

Best of ALL Piececool Models...Machining is Precision.Very Difficult to build without Magnification and Careful build, but end result is Impressive..Yet Small.My Favorite...Tiny but Exquisite. Directions..Best not Easy.Piececool lost this Machining Precision in other Models... Also Their Directions are now worse.There other Builds are NOT as Precision.. and Parts do NOT Fit and Directions are Terrible.Piececool Def Should Use this as their Model!

This model is definitely not for beginners. It's very well designed, cute to perfection and the choice of color is spot on. If you're very detail-oriented & precise and follow instructions you will enjoy this model. There is some repetition with tinny pieces (ex.: bending borders of 1mm on some parts of architectural elements). I'm half way building it and enjoy every minute of it. Highly recommended for experienced 3D metal model builders.
