my 1989 jeep socket is dried out. this replacement is easy to install and fits just right on original socket!

I needed to change the socket for the tail light on my Mitsubishi Eclipse 2000 GS. Just took a little wire stripping and soldering. At first I soldered the wrong wires together (as there are two positive and one negative cables, it is not color coded to the same specifications as my car), which didn't really bug me. If I wasn't lazy I would have just used a voltmeter to test which cord to use, but I didn't. Anyway, this is a great replacement socket.

Because of an accident, the socket was broken off. The item reviewed was a perfect fit and saved me about $50.

it is what is pictured but the 1157 bulbs do not want to stay lit unless i push down on the bulb? not sure if it the socket or not that is the problem?
