Cup attached to foot at wild angle. From other reviews, appears this is a frequent problem. Returned for replacement; these, too, had the same issue.

These egg cups are versatile. They can be used as intended for eggs or you can also use them as shot glasses, for vodka or whiskey. They are well made and very cute. They are a great addition to Pillivuyt collectors and those who love porcelain vessels.

What's not to like about anything Pillivuyt! I must add, though, that unless you're purposely building a complete set of Pillivuyt, these egg cups are a bit pricey compared to other brands with much the same look. Better to put your money toward their cool brasserie pattern, or their lion soup tureen.

These egg cups are on the small side but do hold the egg solidly as you eat it. The only minus I see is that the Pillivuyt name on the front of the cup is a decal. It is nice-looking but is not permanent--it shifts on the cup if put in the dishwasher.
