Bought this to replace the interior dome light bulb in my truck. It's not suitable for that use at all. LED elements are arranged one on each side, plus one on top. This means that in the dome light in ceiling of the truck, where the bulb is oriented sideways, one LED shines up into the back of the light fixture, and the two sides and top are not directed in any useful direction. Consequently, light output from the bulb is very poor.But since the bulbs come with the clever little 'Try me' button, it includes a bulb socket wired to a battery and switch. I took the bulb socket, wired it in parallel with the dome light, plugged in the bulb and slapped the cover on it. Now I have two bulbs in there - still not great, but better.If you open the little plastic battery box that powers the test function, there's 10 LR44 button cells in there. So that's something I guess...These bulbs might be useful where they are mounted in a radial reflector, like a tail light arrangement, but they're a very poor substitute for an incandescent bulb in my dome light.

Amazing Replacement, This is a 180 degree improvement from the stock bulbs. They do not get hot like the conventional bulbs and make clean light. Very Happy with this purchase
