How to grow -Most of water lilies can grow in pots or bowls, so you can plant them in balcony, porch, patio with partial or full sunlight -Put the tuber in the soil and compress the dirt around the tuber to give stability then cover the top with soil, but do not cover the crown. -Add fertilizer next to the tuber around 1 Inch deep for the source of nutrients -Fill the top of the soil with sand around 2 inches and add the water -Place the water lilies with a minimum of 4-6 hours of direct sunlight a day

I ordered a tuber last fall which was the diameter of a pencil and two inches long. I was unable to put in my small pond for a few days but planted as directed in essentially dirt in a fabric bag. I checked it underwater in early spring and was really debating whether it was putting out any lily pads. As of now (mid June), it has completely covered my pond and has two to three blooms a day. I have been absolutely amazed how this has grown! Keep in mind I have fertilized quite heavy.
