It's an ok laser for shorter range. It's brighter than a red laser, but not as bright as many of the higher end green lasers. It doesn't have a longer reach bean than those made for pistols. Maybe 25 or so meters on a cloudy day, 50 to 100 meters at night. The adjustment knobs are bulky and stick out quite a bit. They would be easy to snag on brush or hit walls, as well as getting caught in your own kit.
