1. The 8 point suspension is pointless if you only have 4 straps crossing in the middle. 2. The hard hat definitely has a layer of real carbon fiber, but it’s only a layer. I cut into the hard hat enough to see the carbon fiber, it seems based on sound and weight that they took a full brim WW2 helmet and added carbon fiber.(makes a metal ring when you knock on it. 3. As a conclusion, the hard hat is definitely 5-10 ounces heavier than my full brim Klein tools hard hat(white plastic).

This thing is great sometimes forget it’s in my head, has great grip with the sweat band they say it’s to hot but I can’t tell a difference
