As you can see from the photo, I'm not a professional (all the clamps are in my garage), but do alot of wood working making cutting boards, book cases, and nightlights, and these pipe clamps are a must have for joining wood together.You will need either a good table saw or joiner/planner to create really clean joins to glue up, but if your just using them to hold 2x4's in alignment to build a wall or hold down material, these are a good choice.Stong, easy to adjust on black pipe and good price.Started to use them more, the rubber covers over the clamps don't hold on very well and it's kind of dangerous, as when they slip off the wood, the clamp flies off and the wood can slip and fall. So I changed my rating, as a clamp they work well, but the reason I bought them was to not mar the wood with red paint from the clamp (thus the rubber covers), but if they don't stay on, useless. You can get the same claps cheaper from other distributors. I use small wood shims to not mar the wood or get the paint from the clamp on them (required you do more sanding).

I already have some four foot and six foot pipe clamps. Both use Bessey hardware. I thought I would try these for some two foot pipe clamps. The set provides hardware for our clamps. It does not include the pipe. At Lowe’s the 24” 3/4” pipe we’re about $17 each so keep in mind if you buy these there will be an additional expense to get yourself set up. The hardware assembled to the pipe without any issues. My poor hands are old and arthritic so sliding the clamp on the pipe is a bit arduous. Hopefully they will loosen up over time. Another difference with my Bessey clamps is that the Besseys have plastic or rubber bumpers to keep you from marring your workpiece. Overall for bargain clamps they are useful.

I haven’t used these clamps yet but from looking at them they look pretty well made and I look forward to using them soon.
