I recieved a ratcheting piston ring compressor and a pair of piston ring pliers.The ring compressor is basic but functional. You put the piston and rings into the tool, and then tighten the ratchet to compress the rings into their groves. Included in the box was a simple 1/4" square wrench, but you can also use a 1/4" square drive extension in a ratchet as it's the right size. Make sure to take up the tension with a wrench before pressing the release button tho — the compressor opens in a real hurry if you don't control it.The ring pliers have rubber-coated handles, but despite this they're still made from very thin metal and the handle is a bit sharp and uncomfortable. However they do work, and as a hobbyist i don't feel the need to replacement with a more comfortable pair.All in all, this is a great pair of tools for the engine-building hobbyist; but professionals will want something better.
