Received the product which was packaged well. Was very hopeful and wanted to believe it was a quality replacement. All seemed well until seating the rings on the piston. Neither ring would seat properly. Either the piston grooves were not milled out properly or the rings were too big. I contacted the company and they said they'd send a replacement. Turns out they asked me to return the item, which I did, only to then be told no replacement would be sent. Now I'm out the return shipping they charged me and have no working parts. Should have read reviews more closely before purchasing, looks like this is a common problem. Thanks top notch parts. Terrible experience.

Works if you know 2 strokes. Remember these steps!#1 De Burr cylinder#2 Makes sure Ring Gaps are over the Piston pins#3 Pre Lube the Rod, New Bearing and Piston. A thin coat on everything rubbed in with hands is OK. More on the rod/bearing#4 You don’t have to use the new head studs, Torque the heads nuts to 6-10lbs! Hand tighten is best if you have the feel for this.#5 MOST IMPORTANT! The ARROW on piston points to the Exhaust! This is why People’s bikes Don’t start after using this kit.Follow these instructions and you can do this in 15-30mins. Super easy!

Bought this to rebuild my son's Suzuki Quadmaster 50. Started first pull after everything was put back together and it runs great again (it also got a new carburetor last year, new gaskets and seals this year)! So much more cost effective than taking it to the shop! We are all happy with the results we got!

The cylinder and head fit perfectly, were in good condition, and appear to have exact specs as the stock top end. All the necessary parts were also Included (no exhaust or intake gasket though). However, the base gasket was a little off and didn’t exactly match the stock crankcase and the rings were depressed and jammed on the piston after disassembling 2 days later to change crank bearings (rings were installed in correct position). I didn’t check compression but the bike was hard to start after install which was probably due to low compression since the rings weren’t expanding. Overall, I think it’s still a decent buy if your stock cylinder is cracked/damaged considering the price, but you’ll need to buy a quality made (USA or Japan) piston and gasket kit. Im waiting on a new oversized (0.03) piston kit to come in then I’ll bring the cylinder and piston to a machine shop for boring, which will still be much cheaper than buying a stock OEM top end. I just ordered another cheap top end kit for a ‘81 JR50 but I went with another brand to see if it’s any better, but I’m expecting to do the same mods as with this one.

Received item very quickly however up attempt to assemble top end noticed piston rings were extremely oversized. Contacting seller about this. If they make it right I’ll update and add or subtract ratings.***UPDATE 5/27/18Seller sent out new rings very quickly which fit. Unfortunately, the cylinder is not sealing to the block, and it has virtually no compression (30 psi)I believe this is due to the base gasket splitting when assembling. The base gasket is very cheap material which ripped for no real reason at all. It caught on a stud when putting it on. I attempted to use the provided gasket maker/rtv in combination with the gasket but it did not help. The kit doesn’t come with a new exhaust gasket or a gasket for the intake manifold either which I know isn’t pictured but you will need to purchase, or use rtv.I am going to request from seller a new base gasket and see if this fixes the problem. I am bummed about having to tear it apart again.Update 6/9/18Received another jug base gasket and put it back together. It is running just fine. My 3 and 5 year olds are in heaven.Overall, excellent company to deal with. They shipped items and replacement parts out quickly at my request. The product itself is working but you will have to drill out the vacuum port. Bumping my review from a three to a 4 star rating.Thank you for the excellent customer service!

Fit ok! Obvious void on the plane of the cylinder jug. Did not have the rod bearing as shown in the picture.
