Love the stand, definitely makes working on bikes a lot easier. Some quality control would help. Happy with purchase overall, 7 out of 10.

I got this lifter, not for the garage or for any kind of dirt bike. At almost 70 I'm finding it harder and harder to lift my wine making bucket fermenters up from the floor into my warming cabinet which is 35" higher. Sure, they are only about 50 pounds each, but are not easy to get a grip on and lift straight up and over. I looked & looked for something to use that was made for the house, but couldn't find anything to lift this high. The wine kits I use are around $125 and I figure that this will save me spilling one, which I just about did last week, & will pay for itself quickly. As far as operation, it works like a dream & doesn't take too many pumps to get it all the way up. I like the new screw release better than a foot based one as you can lower it in a controlled manner & even a little bit at a time if you want. That's way better than all at once! The wheels seem nice and solid too & the wheel brakes work well. I bet I'll even find a use for it in the garage, or maybe I'll just get another one for there. It's compact when collapsed, so even at around 60 pounds, it's not too hard to carry around if I need to move it somewhere else, like into my truck. It's just great!!!!

This wheeled lift stand is made in China and sold by Pit Posse. It is built around a hydraulic bottle jack. Pit Posse advertises is as a lift for motorcycles and ATV's, but I'll probably use it for transmissions. The jack specs have been painted over but it appears to be the size of a 2 to 3 ton jack. The metal lift structure built around the jack is a "scissor" mechanism that extends from a bottom of 13 1/2 inches to a maximum height of 34 1/2 inches. The rectangular rubber covered platform is 13 3/4 inches by 16 inches with a rectangular hole in the middle. The maximum load that can be lifted is 300 pounds. The stand is painted black and comes with two retaining hooks to help stabilize what you are lifting. It arrived in a 70 pound box, fully assembled with the exception of the foot pedal jack control. Unfortunately, the pedal rod was about a 1/4 inch too long and bottomed out in the jack handle sleeve before the retaining bolts holes aligned. Accordingly, I cut off about a 1/2 inch off the end of the rod and everything lined up. Other than that, the stand seems to work well and is reasonably constructed. The one main concern I have is safety. Remember the higher a load is lifted, the more top heavy it becomes. It wouldn't take much to tip it over, especially when rolling it around. If a wheel hits one little bump the lift can easily tilt and fall over. The designer really needs to add some kind of support legs that can be extended to increase the width of the lift support base. The bottom support stand has holes for a retaining rod that locks the lift height at four different levels to prevent height creep from jack leakage and sudden drops from jack failure. You should always use this safety feature while working. Overall, the stand is reasonably priced and functioned as advertised, but be careful using it with heavy loads...five stars.

I am the kind of guy who already reads reviews before making purchase. However there is no review on Amazon for this product. Came to know this product from reviews for other scissor lifts and seemed the Pitt Pose has great quality. Finally pulled the trigger and I am very happy with the decision. The lift is well constructed and strong enough even fully extended with 220 lbs CRF250 dirt bike on it. The casters are smooth and not wobbling at all. Well worth another 30$. However there are 2 minor stuffs and hopefully manufactory can improve them in the future.1. The height of lift when fully seated is 13.5", not 13" as advertised. It makes a big difference to me because I have to lift the bike with one hand slightly before roll the lift underneath bike. This does not require lots of force but I do wish the stand is ¼ to 1/2 inch lower. As far as I have researched, no scissor lift is shorter than 13.5". This is might be a safety feather because if you release the valve too fast, the bike will drop like a rock. This happened to me the first time when I released the valve. The stand saves the bike because it won't allow it to drop all the way down to threw the bike off the stand.2. The safety bar can only be inserted to the innest position when the stand is fully extended without weight on it. However with the bike on it, the inner holes are partially blocked by the rollers so the block bar can not be inserted. This is not a big problem to me because I can still insert a thinner bar like long screw driver. The pump holds the lift pretty well so most times you probably do not need this feather. But if you do work a lot with stand fully extended, I would recommend to redrill holes slightly to the left to make innest holes 0.5" wider.Despite the above 2 minor things, the stand overall is very sturdy and definitely worth every penny of it. I wish I had it earlier. The seller answered my questions promptly and always stands by their products. I gave 4.8 stars for the product and 5.5 to the seller.
