The break light seems to be manufactured well. The gasket is thick, and made well. You don't have to drop the headliner for this to be connected. My truck is a 2006 f150, there are two wire frame clips holding the light harness to the right. You'll see two pegs sticking through. Get a gasket scraper and place it against the tabs, and tap with a hammer. After the plugs are cut, push them through, and your wiring harness will be free. Pull the wire harness out of its hole with needle noses pliers.Attach both together.Hand tighten the screws, and put some silicon on the screw heads. This will save you time and a headache.

OEM light was leaking, faded and cracked . This one was easy to install and huge difference in lighting, now i can see the while bed of my truck.

I'm a 50yr old disabled female that couldn't afford to pay someone to install the new one so I watched a YouTube installation and did it myself.
