I'm using this cable for a DIY Camera project that I am working on and this trigger works great and it has 2.5mm mono jack.

Works perfectly with my Pixel RW-221/L1 (for Panasonic Lumix G5/G3) allowing me to us it with my Nikon D80 (andD70s). Other cables are available (for other camera makes) from Pixel website.

Having used the pistol grip and cable on my Nikon D3100, I purchased another cable for use with my Nikon D80 and 300mm zoom lens, which is mounted on a rail and pistol grip system, used for aviation photography.The combination of trigger-operated pistol grip and connection cable makes things a lot easier, with the ability to hold the camera set-up comfortably and firmly, whilst 'tracking' fast - moving subjects, thereby lessening any strain on wrists or shoulders, as would be experienced if holding the camera and lens in the 'conventional' manner, especially important for me, as I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis.The grip and trigger work extremely well, although I have a tendency to accidentally press the 'Lock' switch, which is purely as a result of stiff fingers, and in no way a fault of the product.Although at first glance the pistol grip itself may seem rather light weight, it is well made and, once fitted to the camera, is very secure, robust and comfortable. The inclusion of a tripod socket in the base of the grip is an added bonus.When used without the rail system, for example, mounted direct onto the camera body via the tripod socket, the grip and trigger once again allow smooth and easy operation, leaving the other hand free to support and/or adjust the lens, allowing easy, smooth and comfortable operation.I would thoroughly recommend this product, especially for use in sports or action photography, with large lenses.

Does exactly what it is intended to do. Joins the pixel trigger to the camera. It is of substantial quality and does the job
