The bamboo surface and edges are very smooth all the way around, and Itʻs both sturdy and lightweight. Itʻs decent for sliding pies into a portable pizza oven, being that they donʻt require you to reach in. Because of the short handle, it really works well as a serving board since the handle doesnʻt get in the way. I think I actually get more use out of it as a serving board since the shorter handle makes it easy to carry.

We got this for our little 10” counter top pizza oven at home and it’s perfect! The kids love making pizzas and helping turn them while in the oven, but it’s so hot and the oven only came with 2 half circles to put the pizza in with. This has a nice handle and is perfect to turn the pizzas, take them out, and cut them right up and serve. Super convenient! It’s very easy to hand wash or put in the dishwasher to clean, and fits in with my other cutting boards easily.

We have a couple of bamboo/wood pizza peels similar to this that we also use as cutting boards. I got this as a back-up. It's smaller than expected. It's supposed to be 12" but the surface without the handle is about 11" by 10"

Kind of overpriced in my miserly estimation, and stated dimensions are misleading. In a nutshell, yes the pizza peel is 11” wide, but has only ~9.25” usable depth. So the 5th picture in the item description showing the pizza on the peel? That little pizza is only about 5.5”-6” in diameter. While these bamboo peels are far heavier than the basswood(?) or poplar(?) wood peels I have, they are also much less absorbent, meaning I can get away with doing a final bread rise on them, even with an 80% hydration dough - with a sufficient layer of cornmeal or semolina underneath, of course. Since this one seems just a touch too thick, I’m going to give it a trim in my planer and take maybe 1/16-3/32” off and give a good sanding to smooth the bevel and handle. If it all goes badly sideways, I’ll pop back in with an update to warn others away from trying this too.

I have a tool to remove my pizza from my Ooni but I didn't have anything to place the pizza on for serving. This is perfect! It looks so much nicer on a table to have my pizza on this rather than just some plate. It's very well made and thick. I would have expected to pay more for such a quality piece.

This bamboo pizza peel is great for beginners or casual pizza nights. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and has a smooth surface that helps prevent dough from sticking. The size works well for up to 11-inch pizzas, and the grip feels comfortable during use.What I like most is how versatile it is—you can also use it as a serving board or for slicing bread, cheese, and fruit. The finish looks nice and cleans up easily, which is always a win.It’s not super thick or heavy-duty, so if you’re looking for something for commercial or frequent heavy use, you might want something a bit sturdier. But for regular home use, it does the job well and looks good doing it.

This bamboo pizza peel is terrific.I love the bamboo wood; it's nice quality and so lightweight!Works perfectly with the pizza pies and when we're not using it for pizza making it makes a lovely cheese board or for charcuterie.The bamboo is smooth around the edges and it's not rough.Easy to handle and clean up is a breeze!Great value at the current price and I think it would make a thoughtful gift, too.

I recently ordered this Pizza Peel and it’s a fantastic tool for handling homemade pizzas. The thin board design combined with a beveled edge makes it easy to slide under the pizza and retrieve it from the oven without any hassle.
