Blanks, drill bit, and all other turning tools and supplies are not included. Includes (3) 30 Caliber Bolt Action Bullet Cartridge Ballpoint Pen Woodturning Project Kits. You will receive (1) of each in: Gun Metal (PKCP8020), Chrome (PKCP8010), and Gold (PKCP8000). Also includes the bushing set (PKCP3000BU) needed to make the pens. Features a 3/8" single tube design, our patented bolt action mechanism, and a Parker style ballpoint black refill. Minimum blank size needed to turn is 3/4" x 3/4" x 2-1/2". Patent No. : US D682, 352 S. Pen blanks are not included. The realistic bolt action handle smoothly advances and retracts to securely lock the refill in place. Each pen kit includes a bolt action rifle clip, a replica 30 caliber cartridge, and a rose gold bullet tip.

You can find them cheaper in Lathe turning catalogs but for someone looking to make a unique gift they are fantastic. Spend a little more money to get custom blanks and you can have a great piece for a craft festival.

The kit was easier to assemble than any I have used as it is just two ends to press in then screw on the cap with the cartridge and spring. It requires a 3/8th drill bit which comes standard in any drill bit set that you would have for your handheld drill removing the need to buy an odd size bit off of a turning website or specialty shop. The size of the blank required is short enough that you can get two pens out of each blank which is nice if you get specialty blanks. It comes with the bushings which also removes the need to track them down off a specialty site. Highly recommend for turners who want a bulky pen and to move away from the slimline.

I have purchased this brand of pen kits many times. This kit is a great value of a quality product. I would love to see a bundle of these pens without the bushings and the drill bit for even a better value. The speed of delivery was simply amazing! Will buy again and again.

I've tried other companies but was not near the quality though cheeper. To my surprise I found them on prime at amazon. The quality even when it comes to packaging! I have bought over 100 bulet penswith olive wood, finished with super glue. By the way, I've even tried to save $$ on the olive wood, and it is not worth it. the quality of PSI's supplies is worth it when it come to make fine crafts, especially now the it's prime at amazon.

Let me start by saying that i am a first time wood turner. I had never made anything on the craigslist special lathe that i had bought and restored. I had so much fun making these pens, and i couldn't be more proud of the way they turned out! This kit is beautiful, and matches with any kind of hardwood. I kept one pen and gave the other two to my brother and my dad. The kit includes all instructions required to build the pens properly. If you follow the instructions, it's not hard to assemble the pens. I used a drill press to assemble the pens, so no special tooling required. I think you could use a large vise to assemble these, also. The pens i made were chrome/padauk, gunmetal/zebra wood, and gold/sapele. The gold/sapele, and chrome padauk were stunning. I would avoid the gunmetal/ zebra wood combination, didn't look unpleasant, but it did look mismatched. Other than that, they look like i paid a lot for them!.

Ok people this is a KIT, Not an assembled pen! Read the description before ordering. If you want a simple but great pen kit this one is excellent!!!

I used these in the past with awesome results, but the first one I put together from this set came apart. I don't believe it should have as the others I've made have had no problems. Picture included. I honestly love these kits and hop this is just an isolated issue.
