The bulbs saved my issue of what to do with the plants for 3 weeks - they looked really good when I came back home. My plants are not that big in size, so I just watered them well and then stick the bulbs in the moist soil. When I came back, the soil was dry but my plants looked perfectly fine. Definitely a recommendation!

Wow! I’m not sure why I didn’t buy these years ago! I bought these because I was plant-sitting for an acquaintance and my family was going out of town for nearly two weeks. I didn’t want to let the plant owner down and give her back dead plants, so I researched what gloves were the best and I came across these. I ordered four sets and was impressed with the beautiful colors and durable feel of the globes. I set the globes into the plants and left for vacation. Upon returning, the plants were absolutely thriving! Plants that once looked a little sad had perked up completely. When it came time to return the plants to the original owner, I can say I returned them better than when they were dropped off. I recommend these to anyone looking for an easy way to take care of their plants or anyone questioning how much to water their plants each week.

My houseplants have never looked so good and been so healthy! I am notorious for killing houseplants. I never know how much or how often to water them. I either over-water or under-water them. But these are perfect, because the plant regulates for itself how much and how fast it requires water. I simply check each one daily, and if it is empty, I refill it. Otherwise, I leave it alone. This is especially great when you have a wide variety of large and small houseplants. For larger plants, I even put in 2 bulbs so that I don’t have to refill them every day and so that the plant won’t die if I leave town for a week without anyone coming over to water them. These are beautiful and don’t detract from the plant by being an eyesore. However, with them being glass, if you drop them, they are likely to crack and won’t work anymore, so you have to be careful with them and make sure that they are secure in the soil so that they don’t fall out. Sometimes if you are too rough putting them in, you can break off the very tip, though they still work well even after this has happened.

After ordering 3 sets of these, all my house plants are much healthier. I can remember to fill these globes once a week, whereas previously, watering was a hit or miss proposition, usually when the plant showed signs of distress . Also, the water globes are attractive! Recommend for those who ( like me) tend to be slackers on watering. Also good when you are traveling.

I’ve had these for about a month now, and they’re working perfectly. Other reviews mention them clogging up with dirt when inserted, so I covered the ends with a small (2 inch) scrap of cotton cloth before pushing them into the soil. This is the smallest plant I have, and the pot overflows very easily, but that hasn’t been a problem at all. Like my larger plants, this one seems to draw just the amount of water it needs from the globe and no more. Others have mentioned the water draining too fast. I soaked my plants thoroughly before inserting the globes, then watched them closely. The globes did not begin to release water until the soil dried enough to draw out the water. I’ve always had trouble remembering to water my plants, so I’m really delighted with these globes!

I have these in my hanging ivy plants, and have just a couple of complaints that are small issues in the end.1. When putting the bulb into the plant, you will often end up with soil stuck in the tube, which can block the water delivery totally. I have found that re-sticking to the same hole in the soil will help, but it's not always perfect.2. Sometimes the delivery is tricky and inconsistent. I've seen these bulbs water my plants all at once, where it just drains in a few hours, or it could take several days. I have found that the direction the bulb is rotated can help this, because of the slanted tip.Overall a good product, and well made, but nothing is perfect.

They are attractive, but the water runs right out of them, regardless of how wet the soil in the potted plant already is. We tried angling two of them and inserting them straight up….into two well-watered hanging pots with fuschia.So they should have slowly watered the plants for, as the packaging says, “up to 2 weeks”.No such luck. The water runs out within an hour.However, I inserted the third one into another plant and after 24 hours almost no water has left the bulb. So it’s really unpredictable how it will respond. The soil in all 3 pots felt fairly compressed.

I just returned from vacation after 13 1/2 days. I really wasn’t sure what to expect with the globe since there were differing reviews. I had one indoor houseplant I needed to water for the trip and hoped it would survive. I watered the plant a bit before I left, filled the globe with water and pushed it into the soil. I really expected to come back and find the globe stopped up from soil or the plant dry because the water all leaked out immediately. To my pleasant surprise, the plant is still alive and looked healthy. The globe was empty and the soil was still a bit moist. So happy with this! I plan on using for outdoor plants during trips in the warmer months. First experience was a good experience, so I definitely recommend.

These watering globes are fantastic. I bought the large Aqua Globes in the past and they came in a two pack for $10. These come in a three pack for $15 which amounts to the same price per globe as they are the same size as the Aqua Globes. I prefer the 3 pack because I am new to caring for house plants and I like the pretty, colorful, exotic tropical plants but am not privy yet to their temperaments. These globes are life saving because I don't have to guess when to water and when and if the water is too much or too little because with these I just refill them when empty. Now all I have to worry about is room temperature and amount of sunlight. I was also pleasantly surprised with these because the globes that I received in this particular box are light and swirly and they look so much like beautiful stained glass they look more like decoration although they are a life line for my plants. I most definitely recommend this product.
