I purchased this for my niece when she was around six months old. Her mom wants wooden toys and toys that don't really make noise. This fit the bill. It has buttons she can push and the screen part of the phone magnifies, but it doesn't really do much. It's mostly something for her to chew on. She is now eight months and it doesn't really hold her interest. I wish I had gotten it when she was younger because I think the four to six month period she would have gotten more use out it for it just being a teether. Overall, it has held up nicely. There isn't any wear or tear.

What a great imaginative play piece for any toddler!! Purchased this for my daughter before she turned 2 and she is now 2 years and 4 months and just started rally getting into this camera! She absolutely loves it. She gets it out and takes photos of me and her baby sister (which is adorable)... she say the photos turn out perfect. But anyhow, the camera is just so simple, yet I love the teleidoscope effect it has when you look through the lens at your object!! So fun! And you can click down the button to “take” the pretend photo... she imagines up what it looks like which is why it’s better than a real camera at her age!

I'm really happy that the toy is great quality wood. But it is a bit heavy for my 2-year-old to carry along all the time. I saw an older little one on youtube with this toy at disneyland and was hoping to be able to take it along every where with us since she likes to imitate me taking photos. She still will but it's just not the most comfy to carry along. I do like that it has a wrist band though so thanks for that. All in all she really likes to use it.

My 21 month old loves his new phone! Great quality, eco friendly toy that is the perfect antidote to all the noisy plastic rubbish on the market!

This is a great toy. When my daughter got obsessed with our adult phones, I bought this and a noisy plastic electric one, and this toy is much preferred by my toddler and everyone else. I got it for her when she was 18 months old, and she still plays with it all the time at 25 months. It allows for imaginative play more than the electric one, and therefore has more creative possibilities, it's not annoying for the adults around, it doesn't need batteries, and is more fun for her. It's made of natural materials, and its really cute. I love it. I really don't understand why there are some low reviews. I'm buying a second one today.

This is my son's new favorite toy!! I love that it doesn't make any noises or anything, and my son (6 months) loves it too! I searched all day for a good quality toy phone made without nasty chemicals - and this is it! I was not disappointed. I don't understand why others are commenting on it being made of poor quality.. it is some sort of wood composite but it's sturdy and has handled my son throwing & dropping it for weeks now, and it still looks brand new! I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good quality toy for their child.

Update: at 14 months, having dug it up from the bottom of the toy bin while on the hunt for dolls to swing wildly by their little arms, she found this and suddenly Cares ™. Play is still centered mostly on chewing on it, so it really is a glorified teether, but for educational purposes she does occasionally shove it into my hands so I can pretend I'm fielding her phone calls. Moral of the story appears to be that this toy is probably for babies/toddlers old enough to recognise either the vaguely technological shape and think 'one of those! This is perfect for shaving down my new teeth!' or 'this is perfect for training mom to be my future secretary!'I don't wipe my cell phone down nearly enough to let my 9 month old turn it into the glorified teether she wishes it was, so I thought buying her a toy cell phone might do the trick. I wanted to avoid anything flashy and noisy - it really seemed like the shape and size of the phone was what appealed to her. This Plan Toys phone is cute and the right size. I love that the buttons can be pushed and the little strap, but the baby has zero interest in it. Every time I hand it to her, she takes it, holds it out to the side and drops it. I'm hoping she's just too young and will eventually get into it. Took off one star because I feel like the magnifying glass screen would be more interesting if it were a baby mirror or even a colourful picture. It's also made of a funky pulped wood composite, like a lot of 'green' toys seem to be now. I wish the ridge between the front and the back pieces were smoother.

Fantastic. My 2.5 year old loved this for Christmas. Cons first. The wrist strap is made for newborns.. kind of. I have a 5 month old and it wasn't easy trying to get it on her wrist. Now the pros. Best for the price and quality even comparing this to etsy.com cameras. The wood is smooth and the kaleidoscopic is awesome. The button presses down to take a picture. No click noise, shucks. But its cute, looks like the picture and great wooden toy.

So nice to have toys that require an imagination! I limit battery operated toys to foster just that. This little gem is so cute. It fits well in the hands of my 1 and 3 year olds. Sturdy design. It's has a starburst, lightcatcher viewfinder. Sorry, I don't know the technical term for that. My husband got some really neat photos of the view. Put your camera phone up to the lens and snap it for a kaleidoscope shot. I guess it's fun for adults too.
