We don't have a business but wanted some new folders for a project of putting some essentials together for our grown children. I like the slide out tabs and they work great in our new Pendaflex Portable File Box. The folders that came with it are fine and we are using those also but for this project I wanted something a bit more substanial.

I ordered these to better organize my documents. They are plastic with arms that slide out to hang in a file cabinet. This would be helpful if you need to store them for later use. The files have a 2-inch expansion that allows you to hold a good amount of paperwork in each file. A great help to get me organized.

These feel like they'll last a long, long time, and take weight very well (I had a folder full of medical documents that had broken the normal file folder, but these are taking it just fine). I was pleasantly surprised at the "adjustable width" of the hangers; I didn't realize that was a thing when I ordered these, and it makes for a decent amount of versatility. Very good find!

I've never seen hanging file folders like these. Most hanging file folders are made of heavy cardstock and have a metal bar running the length of the top edges of the folder ending in a down-facing hook that fits over the bars in a file drawer for hanging folders. These folders are different...read on...These folders are plastic, and instead of a metal rod extending all the way across the top, the top of the folders house two plastic inserts that can be slid outward, exposing a downward facing hook so the foler can be hung, or, left inside so these can be used as regular file folders. That's a good idea!The base of the folders have grooves where the folders can be bent to accommodate different amounts of material. The widest is 2 inches (that's 5 cm for those of you who live in civilized countries that use the metric system :-D). They can also be bent to accommodate 5/8" (1.8 cm), 1 3/8" (3.5 cm) or the full 2" (5 cm).The folders are much more durable than folders made of paper card stock/cardboard.I have to say that I really like being able to use these as either hanging or non-hanging folders.There is one design flaw though. If you insert both arms of the lable-holding tab into the 4th and 7th slots from the left, you can extend the hook, but you can't retract it (some of the time) because the plastic bar inside is blocked from sliding back in. The same goes if you insert a top tab into the 4th and 6th slots from the right for the left sliding bar.So these are good, solid folders that should last and last and last...let's face it, they are made of plastic that is largely indestructible. But with one minor design flaw.4/5 stars

I ordered these just to try them out and compare them to the typical green ones sold at the office stores. I haven't really had a problem with the common hanging folders, however these are definitely an improvement! I have to say these are really well made and they are thick. The only problem with the thickness is they take up more room. For me this isn't an issue, but I did want to point it out. The slider arms are a nice feature, as you can tighten these to help keep them in place better. Also, the adjustable arms are good for different filing cabinet sizes, and for changing to boxes when necessary. It includes the plastic tabs and inserts for labeling as well. These are really a nice upgrade and I am very happy with them!

Durable, thick plastic, comes with more than enough tabs/paper, would buy again.
