These fit our 10.5 inch plates, but the ends are very short. they don't wrap around the edge of the plate. The metal is very thin. The plates shake when in the holder, and feel like they'll fall out easily.

The holder is good for a lightweight decorative plate but doesn't seem secure enough for a heavy ceramic item. The hanger clasps can be gently bent around the plate edge to secure the item a bit better. I would recommend adding a bumper on the back of the wire hanger, if the plates rattle when people are moving around the house.
