I purchased this clay to use with my students and a zoo animal creation they are working on. This air dry clay is not meant for very fine detailing. You can, however, score and slip pieces together. The lion in the back has that process and the lion in the front is more of a 'squeeze into place' method. Students will need to be very patient and work with their animals gingerly since it is very moldable and can change the complete look with one 'too tight' squeeze. Once dry, students will paint with acrylic paints and add fine details. I will be sure to update this review with cracking and pieces falling off (if that happens), but for now, this air dry clay is as expected. What my rating means:4 Stars: Satisfied* The product is good and meets most expectations.* It has minor issues but overall performs well.* You would recommend it to others.

The Play-Doh Brand Air Dry Clay, 6 Vibrant Clay Colors, Soft & Ultra Light Modeling Clay for Kids, Moldable, Paintable, Crumble-Free - is just as advertised. The colors are vibrant and each one is individually wrapped. There is a small booklet that shows you how to make three different creations as shown on the product listing photo. The only issue with any air dry clay is it can dry out quickly and if you're working with multiple colors, you might want to put some in a plastic container to prevent it from drying out.If it sticks to a surface, you can use cornstarch. If it dries out you can add a little bit of water. Also, when connecting two pieces if they don't stick together then just wet it a little bit. If you want to press the clay in a small bowl first put plastic wrap underneath in the bowl, then you would be able to lift the clay out without sticking. I also use a damp small sponge if I need to smooth it out.Amazon also sells Play-Doh air dry clay in a container that is white, but then it requires painting and it is much more like real play. This is more like clay and foam mixture so it is much easier for all ages to work with. Having it already colored makes it much easier.Depending on how thick the item is, you're making it can take 24 hours to a week to dry. This is a great indoor activity that's not expensive and lots of fun.Update: We loved it so much with purchased a larger quantity with a greater variety of colors.

This is our favorite quick and easy craft activities. It is a moldable clay that is light and easy to use. Once you are done with your design, air dry it to make it hard.We actually use our play doh molds and cutters with it, it works well. I wish there is more white as we can paint and color those. It comes with primary colors.

I bought this for my kids Easter basket. They loved the idea of it, with the molds and scented clay, but the quality was not great compared to other air dry clay sets we have purchased in the past. Unfortunately the clay melts, so my kids finished designs ended up melting into a heap of clay. This did not go over well with my 8 year old who spent 20 minutes making her koala and cupcake. And it’s not because our house is hot, it’s just the quality of the clay. My 4 year olds package came without the googly eyes, so my 8 year old had to share, which also did not go over well. I would NOT recommend the Play Doh brand of Air Dry Clay!

The grandkiddos love it. The colors are nice and bright. It hardens in about twenty-four hours. Wrap up unused clay in clear saran wrap or a baggie from which air is pressed out. Add a drop or two of water to restore pliability or get two pieces to stick together.

I love this air-dry clay. It is easy to use, and I think since it is made for kids that it is not harmful to you. I used it in silicone molds. I put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes or so and it pops right out of the mold. When it is dry, it feels like paper. Very light. You could use it to make jewelry. I highly recommend.

This clay is super soft and easy for little hands to mold. My 5- and 7-year-old girls had a blast making little sculptures. It dries quickly and doesn’t crumble, but the containers could be a bit more secure for storage.

My artsy 7 year old loves this. We have used model magic clay before, but it is white. She loved the bright, vibrant colors included in this pack. Each color is individually packaged. It is easily moldable and even comes with a book with a few ideas. She chose to make her own creations and had a great time. We stored the left over in a tupperware container, and it preserved it well. She made several little sculptures and they completely dried in 24 hours. We would opt for this over model magic when we are ready to repurchase.
