A big hit in our house, with our son and us. We spend a lot of time just building things and it’s so much fun. They fit well enough together and are strong and versatile. I was stressed about quality as I’ve read some bad reviews on magnetic tiles before but these are very durable and safe. Great value for money. We ended up buying more from this range to add to the set. Will probably buy more to continue to expand our collection.

Great Value I would only buy this brand because they’re the most sturdy ones . I bought these with my three year-old granddaughter in mind but my four year-old granddaughter loves them as well. They’re really well built and safe and they had so much fun building towers that were as tall as themselves very easy for kids to snap together. It’s very good for their imaginations. Grandma has the best toys!

Very high quality magnetic tiles. The colors are fine and bright. The kids love playing with them. It's easy to handle and great for toddlers as well as older kids - it helps them build creativity. The tiles can withstand very active play and they wipe clean easily. I'm happy with this purchase.

Playmags are so versatile and well made. My kids absolutely love them and play with them all the time. Our local library and my son's kindergarten teacher had Magna Tiles and I refused to buy any for home because I thought they'd be quickly ignored since the novelty would have worn off. Enter Covid. The library removed all their shared toys and my son is now in 2nd grade. My daughter is now in 5th and they both play with these often. I broke down and bought some because they have moved on from mega blocks and don't use legos all that often. They love the simplicity, versatility, and the endless possibilities. The guide book is awesome, including more ideas than other building toys. My son bought the cars with a gift card he received and he creates vehicles to cart around his smaller stuffed toys. These are very well constructed, magnets are strong (they build cubes and stick them to the fridge), and they are less expensive than Magna Tiles. We may buy additional kits in the future. These will last and can be kept to entertain grandkids down the line. (I know a long time from now!)

Great toy! You can build all kinds of shapes and structures, and kids as young as 2 years old can start playing. Our nearly 3 year old loves these. He especially loves building different houses, barns, castles to make homes for his toy animals. If you build something too big / heavy without support it will collapse if its roughly handled. This is a good attribute of the toy - learn to be patient and handle the structure carefully, get frustrated when it collapses and that's OK, you can get over it and rebuild. This brand is just as good as Magnatiles - better even because we like the squares with the cutouts and these are better value. With this set you get 82 magnetic tiles (not 100) and some plastic inserts you use for decoration that snap into the cut out tiles. (13 non magnetic letters and 5 non magnetic window inserts.) If you get the set for a sale price you are still paying way less than $1 per magnetic tiles for a high quality tile. This is cheaper than Magnatiles and the quality is just as good. The squares with cutout holes are a fun addition for use eg: cool architectural element; use them as entryways to when putting toy figures into; poorly supported roof when you need to save weight. We added this set to the Magnatiles 32 piece set that were were outgrowing, they are compatible. If you are hesitant I'd say start with a 60 piece set if you can afford it, but just having 30 is fun too. With this set of 82 you can build large structures or a whole town of small ones. This set comes with an 'instruction book' that has lots of inspiration for building for you and your child. BUT it shows buildings that use a few pieces that are not in this set, eg the wheels part. So it might be a good idea to not let your child ever see the instructions, or you could take out the trucks page?

Let me first say I am not getting compensated in any way for this review. I am writing this because I had such a hard time deciding what to by because of all the mixed reviews for the various brands. I hope this will help some parents with their decision.I currently have 4 different sets of magnet tile toys:- 32 piece set Shape Mags (Purchased Dec 2016)- 2 Shape Mags 12X12 stabilizers .(Purchased March 2017)- 100 + 18 piece set Playmags .(Purchased March 2017)- 8 piece polygons Magna-Tiles .(Purchased March 2017)Our first set was the 32 piece Shape Mags. I put it on the kids' (ages 4 and 2) Christmas wish list. They loved it! Even after 3 months, they still loved playing with it, when most other Christmas presents were forgotten. The only problem was the 32 piece set is too small for 2 kids to share. After lots of research, I decided to buy the other 3 sets at the same time. Playmags had mixed reviews so I opened the set and examined the pieces before showing them to the kids. They were great! The plastic is sturdy and the magnets are strong. Maybe they fixed the problems that got them the negative reviews.PricePlaymags 100 piece set + 18 click-ins (not magnetic) sells for $69.99Shape Mags 120 piece set, including 16 fences and 2 people figures sells for $69.99Magna-Tiles 100 piece set sells for $119.99Magnet StrengthPlaymags, wins, hands down. One of the reviews said the magnets are too strong and caused pinching. Even my 2-year-old didn't have any problems with that. Magna-Tiles and Shape Mags have similar magnet strengths. Both are fine for building tall structures. Playmags just hold together better.ColorPlaymags and Shape Mags have the same vibrant colors. Magna-Tiles colors are a bit muted. I prefer the more vibrant colors, but it's just my opinion.CompatibilityThe sets mix and fit together perfectly.Conclusion1st place: PlaymagsThe price is comparable to Shape Mags. The magnets are stronger, which makes for sturdier structures. I prefer the more vibrant colors.2nd place: Shape MagsThe magnets are not as strong, but still strong enough to make whatever your child imagines. The stabilizers are a great addition. I highly recommend them to complete any set.If you really want the originals and you're willing to pay the extra $50 for a set of 100 pieces, then by all means, buy the Magna-Tiles. Other than that, I see no reason to pay more. Shape Mags are of the same quality and magnet strength. Playmags' magnets are significantly stronger. I plan to keep all 4 sets. If I buy another set for a gift, I would buy Playmags.
