The heart effect works well for small pin lights, but it doesn't really do much of anything else when that's not really a thing. So basically a dark room full of christmas lights would probably have a good effect, but your dining room is gonna be fuzzy at best.Construction is cheap and flimsy, but they come with a glasses case to help prevent damage, so that's a plus at least.

I recommend these even if you're going to a rave or not, actually. They're super fun, and with the summer coming - it will be worth it to grab these for your festivities. I can't wait to watch fireworks in July with these glasses on, especially because lasers already look so cool while wearing them.

I actually bought these to use as regular sunglasses, but the effect of the hearts is still there, and one of my favorite features! They work well as normal sunglasses and still add the charming hearts to things around you. The size and shape are perfect for me. They add personality and flair to any outfit they're paired with. They're my go-to glasses. The protective case that came with them helps keep them safe in my bag. Even if you don't go to concerts or raves, these are still super cute and fun for everyday!

Ha! I didn't actually realize that these were refraction glasses when I ordered them. Just thought they were cute. These are going to be great at a rave or club. As others have mentioned the effect is best where there are lots of lights. In just a normal room you won't see much. Also, they ARE really cute glasses.
