Locks into place well. Securely holds radio. All buttons and top display are fully operational/visible. Easier to remove than it's Motorola counterpart.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

You may want spend the extra and get an actual Motorola made one. Had this one for less than three days, fell off my belt. and split almost in 2. The precut button holes on the side do not line up for the radio they say it is suppose to fit.
