This product had been used.This was the second mailbox we purchased.The first we sent back.The 2nd one my sister will keep but as you can tell it was clearly used.

The key is under the top cover, so you have to hold the top up while unlocking, making it very awkward.Lock does not secure tightly, making the front panel wobble. The top lid will not stay up on it's own, which would make it a two handed operation to put mail inside. Nicely made, but the "Mail" emblem is plastic and very loosely connected with 2 small plastic pins.

So disappointed. The mailbox must have been a return because it was partially put together. There was some kind of gooey glue on the stainless steel and window and the "mail" emblem fastener was broken. I wanted a replacement but with so few in stocks I was afraid of getting a returned defective item again. The shipping was longer than usual as well.

Just installed, works well for our intended use, very secure on outside of door, moderately secure inside, seems like a very good product.Suggestions: Hole opening in door should be smaller than instructions say to keep tight fit and lessen caulk for weather tight seal. Also would have like to have plastic or rubber caps to cover too long screws, too difficult to cut off once installed. Screws are called out as “countersink” in instructions but are actually “button head” as supplied.
