I'm using this with a Dahua starlight IP camera. The nighttime illuminators have no issue with power draw. I'm not sure my camera is sending 1000Mbps but I like that it's available.I like that the power cord is standard. I've got a similar injector of a different brand powering my TPlink AP. No issue with that either.

This adapter made it easy to add PoE+ power to an existing network run I had and allowed me to not have to use a power adapter for the device at the other end since it could use PoE. This adapter is somewhat large and takes up a lot of space for only injecting PoE+ voltage for a single network cable. I would have liked to see the adapter much smaller, but it does work and doesn't give me any issues. I ended up mounting this PoE injector to the wall to keep it out of the way and make cable management easier. Works well, just wish it was smaller.

This works exactly as described. It allows for you to use POE equipment on a non POE network switch.

As advertised the unit will supply PoE power and gigabit speeds to the connected device. My Cisco 2702i access point will typically draw about 16.8 watts when connected to a Cisco switch, just slight more than 802.3af. I was not able to get the injector to negotiate this power level needed for the AP to run at full power. I can only assume it runs at 15 watt or 30 watt only for the power levels. The injector would likely have to support CDP or LLDP to negotiate these specific power levels. I also don't understand why they chose the LED to change from green to red when a device is connected and working properly. That the worst color possible. Overall they get the job done but not the cheap fix I was hoping for to get full power out of my AP's.

Great POE injector. Works great with my Aruba APs. After not paying good enough attention when buying a small POE switch for my basement, it turned out I had indeed bought a POE switch, not POE+. My APs will run off POE (15w), but run better on POE+ (30w). The AP indicates it is happily getting POE+ power by giving me two green LEDs. The brick itself has a small LED which turns green when the injector is plugged in. What I found a bit odd was that when the brick is under load, supplying power, that LED turns RED. The instructions indicate as much, stating that this simply means power is being delivered, but I think RED is an odd color choice since it is often associated with errors or faults. As you would expect, there is a 'data in' and a 'data and power out' port, which are pretty clearly labeled in the plastic casing. Apart from the weird LED color choice for delivering power, I have no complaints.

Bought this for a Point/Tilt Camera and plugged the camera in and it started spinning. It's funny that the review here asks for WIFI signal because that's not a feature, but I wish I had started with that.I'm happy with this purchase and my ability to test things like my camera now.

I’ve got a WiFi access point mounted in the hallway ceiling near some bedrooms because the rooms weren’t covered by my WiFi router. The access point came with a 12V power adapter, but it was also compatible with POE. My router doesn’t have any POE ports, and there’s no convenient place to plug in the power adapter, so I tried to use a passive POE injector that came with another device that I had. It came with two parts, an injector that you plug the data port and power adapter in on once side, and the reverse on the other end, where it would split the power back into a barrel adapter so you could power the device that way. This worked, but there were some limitations. I believe that sending 12V down 50 feet of Ethernet cable caused too much voltage loss, because I was finding that if I tried to pull data too quickly, like running a speed test, the access point would reboot. I just don’t think that this was a good solution for 12V.I ordered this POE injector, and it took all of five minutes to swap out the passive one with this one.The difference was more than I’d expected to see. I was just hoping that this would keep the access point from browning out and rebooting, and while that problem was indeed fixed by using this injector with higher voltage, the speeds when using the access point were tripled. I think that maybe the lower power conditions we’re making the access point run at lower performance. I also see that the range of the access point is longer.I’m very satisfied with this injector, since it makes that access point faster, cover a greater area, and it stays on all of the time now. This was a very nice improvement, especially considering what it costs.I have no reservations against recommending this.

This is my review of the SODOLA SL-AFG-N301 PoE+ Injector. It supports 802.3 af/at for PoE, and 802.3/u/ab/az/x for Ethernet speeds up to Gigabit and flow control. It looks a little bigger than some I’ve seen, but it accepts a normal PC power cord vs a brick or other standard. It comes with the power cord and instruction book. It has tabs on the bottom for mounting to a wall, and a status light on the top that will let you know the difference between power on and PoE provided. I used it with a TP-Link Omada EAP610 and it worked, well within the 100 meters it says to limit to.The only complaint I have is the port labeling. It is small and part of the plastic molding but the same color. That makes it a little hard to see which is the PoE port vs the one that goes to the switch. It is there though, and in the manual, so nothing I can’t change easily with a label. The price at the time of this review seems reasonable too at $17.99. For a Gigabit PoE injector it is one I can recommend.
