First thing you notice that is a good sign, is that this case is heavy! What you like to see if you are wanting to play with authentic chips. So the chips do shuffle well. I find myself just having 12 chips on my desk in a stack and shuffle them throughout the day. They feel nice and shuffle like real clay chips. They do feel like clay but I can't tell if that's an insert in the middle or just a sticker over the clay. Doesn't sound like there's inserts and seems like it's just a sticker, but it does not come off which is a good sign. They do sound like clay. Really happy with this set... not a fan of the cards, they are not kem.. but the dealer button is a nice touch! Great Set! And I agree with other comments about the 100 chip not being black... wish it was also.

I wanted a portable set of numbered chips to use with board games in place of cheap cardboard coins and paper money, and this one fits the bill pretty well. The chips themselves are good quality, with even, clean seams and deep colors. (The photos with orange-looking 5-value chips are lighter than the real thing; the photos with deep red 5-value chips offer an accurate image of what all five colors look like.)The only thing I don't care for is the odd marbling that covers the center area of the chips. The text and shapes are reflective, and even have a rainbow-like effect when the light hits them just right. However, the marbling obscures them with a kind of cloudiness. Everything is clear under bright, direct light, but with subdued or indirect lighting, reading the numbers is harder than it should be. It's not a huge issue, but it is a little disappointing when the numbers were a big selling point.I like the semi-soft case very much. It seems strong enough while reducing the overall weight compared to the aluminum cases usually included in chip sets like this one. The shoulder strap is a great feature, especially when I'm carrying this case plus bags of games. The handles are OK, although the one with Velcro is just barely wide enough to wrap around the other. You have to apply some pressure to overlap sufficient surface area. I appreciate the fact that the logo is only on the top side of the case; I have another set in an aluminum case, and easily forget which side is the top. More than once, I've opened it and watched chips spill out in a mess.I haven't tried the cards that came with this set; to be honest, I put them in a drawer and replaced them with a pack of 50 14-gram chips in a higher denomination. The case seems to handle the extra weight just fine.

I picked this up for my son who recently has been into playing poker when we're camping. I had a set of chips already, but this one looked interesting and I think might be a little more travel-friendly. The case is very nice and relatively compact, so I think it would be great for an on-the-go set, or something you want to store in a smaller space. The chips included are also very nice with a holographic center. The cards seem decent, but nothing too special.

While we don't play poker, we are a big board game family. I had a set of awesome clay chips that we use to replace currency in games. Unfortunately, the company has been out of stock for over a year. I had been looking for replacements but most chip sets sold for poker are colored, but not numbered so they didn't work for our needs. The Pure Bluff set is the perfect solution.The set comes in a very nice, heavy duty carry case, which is needed since these chips have weight to them! The chips themselves are very well designed and do look like professional chips. There are four different colors, each with a different denomination; 1, 5, 25 and 100. There are one hundred each of the 1's and 5's and fifty of both the 25's and 100's. You will not have the problem of running out of chips. The only thing I wish were different is that the 100's are purple vs. pure black.The chips are very well made and feel good in the hand. They have a nice weight to them and the colors are vibrant. The center of the chips has a glass like texture and parts are see through so the look really stands out from solid color chips.The case is a nice, heavy, semi-rigid case that has both a carry handle and a shoulder strap. The handle is just ok as the velcro wrap isn't long enough to reach fully around. Not a big problem but could be better. The shoulder strap is well designed and the loops on the case are heavy duty as well.If you are looking for a quality, portable, chip set for either poker or board games, the Pure Bluff set is a fantastic option. They are well made, look great and, at $89 they are a great deal for the 300 chips, case and two card decks you get. I paid $90 for my previous set of 200 chips that didn't come with a carry case. A great deal for a great product in my opinion.
