Having a husband as a drummer, he insisted we get this for my nephews 1st birthday! It was a huge hit with the kids and the adults! Very durable for the kids throwing it around and beating on it, and the microphone is loud enough for singing! The kids had to pry it out of the adults hands and they played with it for hours!

I have purchased it for My son. It was stopped working after 1-2 weeks. Also quality is very poor with respect to price.

The sounds are great, and it's fun while it lasts. It just doesn't last long. After 2 weeks and the mic already doesn't work. A week after that one of the cymbals stopped working. the three leg balance is not appropriate to match the placement of the drum parts so hitting the left or right drum will make the whole thing tip left out right. I expected it to last longer but at least i know now that my kid would play with drums if i got some that are more sturdy or real ones. he can still listen to the music and hit the drum parts for now but he misses the mic.

Like a good oldest brother, I bought my nephew a drum set! He just turned 2. My brother and sister in law said "no toys" so I bought him some musical instruments. Lol. Sorry not sorry. My nephew instantly knew what it was and what to do. He pulled the drumsticks out as i was plugging the symbols in and waited until i was done until he started pounding away. This was about the point I got "the look" from them. It all made it worth it when my nephew said "batman" into the mic and started pounding away. It seems fairly durable. He was dragging the whole drum set around by the microphone wire and it didn't seem to look remotely flimsy as it was flipping and rolling behind him. I would totally buy this again for someone else's kid.

I have one of those little girls that makes drum sticks out of everything and gets real serious when she sings. This will be her Christmas gift and I know it's not going to get put down for a long time. Highly independent player, so something like this is one of those things that will keep her busy for a long time.
