I'm a big believer in serving food and drink in appropriate containers to set or enhance the mood. I wouldn't use this set while watching a sporting event, but when sipping is preferred to quaffing, this fits the bill.It's an attractive, almost dainty set. The art pattern is calming, at least to me. Even the shape of the cups and pot encourages leisurely sipping. Tea and high-quality coffee are best served in these cups, but they can also serve as large espresso cups.In my opinion, the pot is a little small if you are serving four people. It holds just enough for four full cups. But that point is so minor that I wouldn't worry about it.The saucers add a little more elegance and the serving board is good to carry everything to the table to be served. The board can also be used to serve anything that goes well with the drinks you are serving.This is a great set for hot drinks after a good meal. It's for relaxing with friends over good conversation. You may not use it every day, but wouldn't it be nice if you did...
