These pool filter polyester balls are exactly as described. They come in a moderately vacuum sealed back and don't expand too much when exposed to open air. They don't appear to want to fall apart when handled and they easily insert into the filter. This package included enough filter balls to fill my 12-in sand filter twice, so a good value overall.

These filter balls are an incredible alternative to using HEAVY sand in my pool filter. This 3.1 lbs package of filter balls replaces about 100 lbs of sand. My pool filter requires 30 lbs of sand, so I will have enough for several seasons of use! I really like that these filter balls can filter out impurities as small as 3-5 microns. Cleaning the filter balls should be easy, and re-use of the filter balls provides an excellent value for the money! Since switching over, my pool has looked so much cleaner! The filter balls arrived vacuum-packed, but expanded immediately after opening. They are a compact size at about 2" diameter each.

It's pool season and I am tired of lugging sand to the pump! These are a wonderful option and more cost effective in the long run. I got two sets to fill the entire compartment, though they say one will work. We have well water and I feel using two will keep my pool clean longer. I have a lingerie bag I put them in and then run through a wash with NO SOAP. I have a front load washer - so this works great.

If you aren't using filter balls in your sand filter then you should give them a try. These are much lighter than sand. So it is easy to position your sand filter before filling the pool. At the end of the season after back washing, just throw these in a garment bag and throw them in the washing machine. The bugs parts are bit gross. So afterwards it is time to run a washing machine cleaning cycle. These get a double thumbs up.

My factory filter that came with my pool was not doing the job and I was so excited to get a sand filter until I realized I need a back breaking amount of sand. I had to lug a giant bag of sand to my bag yard and felt like I was run over by a truck the next morning.I ordered these filter balls and when the package came I was caught off guard. They weighed nothing! I was skeptical of their efficiency due to their weight but at least I wasn’t grunting and using expletives under my breath while carrying them.Much to my surprise, my pool went from questionable stagnant pond to blue sparkling water literally overnight! I don’t know how it works and I don’t care. I am just so glad that it does! This saved my back and my pool! I am beyond grateful. The clean up is so simple . Remove, rinse them and put them back in! That simple!

This is the 2nd bag I order so that I can have a full filter although 1 bag is suffice I was told. These pick up a lot of debris and they are easy to clean. Just hose them down in a bucket or even stick them in the washing machine.
