It take more than 3 days to increase 2 degrees the temperature of the swimming pool. I do not recommend spending all this money for something that does not warm your pool as needed.

Was having second thoughts after reading some of the lower rated reviews but so far has been working great holding the temp at 78 with no solar cover outside temps have been low and water temp hasn't changed, very quiet, one thing to note is making sure you have the correct fittings as the heater only comes with hose barbs I had to do a little plumbing to make it all go together with the intex sand filter, for everyone asking yes it has a pressure shut off. Heated our 22x12 pool in 2.5 days with no solar cover

It is a heat pump so it is slow to heat the water but it does work good. I live in northern British Columbia Canada. Our summers are short amd not very warm so it's nice to have a pool that's not freezing cold. It's heated my 9' x 12' x 48" Intex pool up to 30°C and has kept it there with no issues. Worth the investment!

I bought the EU50 heater for my 12' x 30" Intex pool. When I received the unit it didnt turn on. Reached out to customer service and they said it was due to a faulty plug which they promptly sent. All in all I had to wait about 4 days for the plug. It was easy to replace and the unit works well now. We are in NY and its late August. Temps are barely hitting 80 anymore and its in the 60s at nite. The unit easily heats up this little pool but will take up to 10 hours to bring it from 78 to 90. A few things to note and the reason why Im not giving this 5 stars: 1) The faulty Plug of course. 2) The unit shows the temperature of the water flowing through the unit which appears to always be 3-4 degrees warmer than the pool temp. So when setting a target temp, I set the target to 94 and it reaches 91. 2) The unit only runs if the pump is running. So, expect to run your filter all day long and all night long in certain cases. We have a small pump that puts 530 gph. Next year we plan to buy a bigger pool (15' x 42") and I expect this until to work just as well. The bigger pool comes with a bigger filter (1k gph). The unit is rated to handle this size pool as well as a 1k GPH filter but I will keep the 530 GPH filter around in case I need to run the water through the heater slower. One last thing to note. The unit is very easy to setup. It plugs into a normal outdoor GFI outlet. I only needed to buy one additional hose to attach the unit to the pool and existing filter. It works with the same size hoses that came with my Intex pool. I purchased an extra hose at a local Pool supply store for 20$.All in all Im very happy with this heater and I have basically stopped using my solar cover (blue thing with the bubbles). Make sure you do have a cover to keep the heat in while heating. I use a black cover with silver lining on the inside. I think its considered a solar cover but it secures around the entire edge of the pool so its not a floating cover.

Unit was very easy to install and was hooked up in a matter of minutes. It’s been running for three days and has a raise the water temperature one single degree. I’m supplying 82° preheated water, and it still hasn’t raise the temperature. Furthermore, I tried to contact customer service and there is none. Amazon said they couldn’t give me the contact information and would send a message on my behalf. Still haven’t heard back from them. I’ll be returning this piece of crap especially since they don’t even have any customer support for the product first and last purchase.

EH code comes on about 30 seconds after the compressor kicks on - then everything shuts down. I've checked all connections, cut back on water flow, etc.. Water temp in pool is 72.Contacted the seller who wrote saying to contact Amazon. Amazon people had no idea about the EH code and said they would contact the seller and the seller would email me with 2-4 days.Instructions say nothing about what causes the EH code or what to do if it happens. It just says Unit Stop.Hopefully it's something simple and I'll give a 5 star. But if I have to repackage and send back (like I have to do with about 75% of my amazon orders) it will go down to a 1 starEdit 10-28-23. Still no response from anyone and the heater is now collecting spider webs because no word on a fix. Going to wait a few more days for a response from anyone then reduce to 1 star and return the stupid thing. Does anybody know what to do with the EH (high pressure) code? Anything will be better than this seller who is not reachable for any questions. What a pain is will be to package this thing up to return it. I suggest to anyone not to buy this thing.Edit 10-29-23. I finally emailed the manufacturer and they responded promptly. They apologized and said they never heard from Amazon or the Seller. But, they gave me instructions on what to do to fix this simple problem. Remove the lid and check the wiring SW1 from the control board. That wire was not even connected and just hanging there. I plugged it in and the heater now works! We will see how it heats the pool though. The water is 77 now and I have it programmed for 90 (it's getting up to 85 here in Louisiana today) so that will help the heat pump.I'll give the manufacturer a 5 star rating but the seller gets a 1 star. Hope this helps someone with the same problem.

I have an above ground pool that holds roughly 1500 gallons. I am running an Intex Krystal Clear filter pump that is rated at 1500 GPH. The filter pump has 1.5” threaded connections. Instead of using thinner plastic “hose”, I purchased 2 Intex 1.25” compression to 1.5” threaded adapters and 2 of their thicker connecting tubes that connect with the threaded nut on both ends. The Intex 1.25” adapter side slides snuggly over the adapters that come with the heater (which attach to the water inlet and outlet connections on the heater itself) and then it is a simple process to screw on the threaded nut that is on the hose. I am in Florida and temps are right now in the mid-60’s F at night and mid-80’s F during the day. With a solar cover on, the heater was able to bring the water temp from 70 degrees F to 82 degrees F in about 10-12 hours (my floating thermometer verified the temp read out on the heater unit). I had the heater temp set to 85 degrees F but I turned the unit off as I wanted to see how much heat loss I would have over night. I only lost about 5 degrees. I started the filter pump and heater again in the morning and roughly 6 hours later the pool reached 85 degrees F and the heater turned off as it was supposed to. It is working as advertised and I am happy at this point!
