This item is the same as tons of other listed pool hooks on Amazon, so I'm not sure how to distinguish this particular one from all the copies.It's 100% plastic; don't leave it in the sun as it will probably get brittle. As for function, it is extremely light and maneuverable. I used it to fish out a zodiac inline leaf basket that accidentally loosened and fell to the bottom. I also pulled out my zodiac MX8. It seems sturdy enough, but may crack if you are trying to fish out really heavy robotic vacuums. Overall, I have had no problems with it so far.

Got this idea from a reviewer for the Quantum robot pool vac. I have a bad back and lifting the cleanerfrom the pool is much easier with this hook AND it attached nicely to my pool pole.
